Tribute for Emily Sue Stinnett Meade, 74 – July 11, 1945 ~ July 4, 2020: Malone Funeral Home

Emily Sue “Tootie” Stinnett Meade, 74, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Saturday July 4, 2020 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born July 11, 1945 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Rubin Ray and Emily James Stinnett. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by a son, Rubin Ray Meade; three brothers, James C Stinnett, Jack Stinnett, and Billy Henry Stinnett; and a sister, Nora Katherine Taylor.


Sue was a member of the Church of God, and attended Freedom Tabernacle Church. Sue worked as a caretaker and was previously employed at Giovanni’s. Sue enjoyed singing gospel music, crocheting and baking cakes.


Sue is survived by two sons, Hughie Jay Meade of Grayson and Ivan Clay Meade of Nicolasville; a daughter: Katherine Renee Tackett of Grayson; five grandchildren, Tianna Meade, Samantha Smith, Vanessa Church, Tommy Ray Tackett and David Meade; and nine great-grandchildren, Tristin, Grace, Levi, Jaylynn Daniel, Gabriela, Logan, Jacob and Pandora; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn her passing.


Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday July 9, 2020 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Matthew Adams and Alberta Stephens officiating. Visitation will be 11 am Tuesday until the service hour.
