Tribute for Donald Wesley “Donnie” Smith

May 4, 1950 ~ September 23, 2020

Donald Wesley “Donnie” Smith, 70, of Webbville went to be with his Lord Wednesday, September 24, 2020 at his residence. Don was born May 4, 1950 in Louisa, KY a son of the late Henry H. and Clarice Kniesley Smith. In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded by a brother, Harmie Smith.


Donnie served his country honorably in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Donnie worked at the City of Homestead Florida Power having retired after 20 years of service. Donnie most recently worked at Advanced Auto Parts for 13 years. In his spare time, Donnie enjoyed riding Horses and his Harley Davidson; working with his tractor, and fishing.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sally Jean Fairweather Smith; two sons, Wesley (Carla) Smith of Virginia Beach and Shelby (Casey) Smith of Florida; two daughters, Tammy Lynn Smith (Timothy) Warner of Ft. McCoy, FL and Sherry Lee Judson of Frankfort, KY; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Robby Smith, Katlyn Smith, Timothy Smith, Ruben Macias, Ryan (Ashley) Swanson, Joshua (Sara) Swanson, Krystal Johnson and Jarrod (Jamie) Lopez; seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna May “Judy” Jordan; niece and nephews, Jessica Jordan, David Marshall and Brian Marshall; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday September 27, 2020 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. David Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Saturday and after 12 noon Sunday until the service hour.
