“Small” Sign Prompts Heated Online Exchange

With her all-black outfit, azure tinted hair and decidedly “goth” appearance, Carter County artist Candy Hope-Glass stood out in the crowd Sunday as she held a “small” sign above her head.

A photo of the local peaceful protester as she participated in the June 7, 2020 soon picked up momentum among supporters and detractors alike.

Readers who viewed several photo galleries with images from Sunday’s convergence posted by Carter County Post overwhelmingly approved of an image of the local artist.

For some, it was inspiring. Aritst Lossy Rosenrott was inspired to translate the original image into another form of art (see below).

Others expressed degrees of disgust while others chimed in with humorous observations, with many tangents along the way.
