Maskmakers : Coverings by Carter County Quilts For Veterans

Sue Tackett has made 300

Members of the Carter County Quilts For Veterans group have applied themselves to a new mission in recent weeks, converting from quilting to mask making to help their community.“I made for Grayson Emergency management and JoAnne Dunfee distributed,” said quilter Sharon Deerfield Jones. “Also made for anyone who needed that asked – Grayson Fire Department. Most made for family and whoever needed them.”

“Life Care Nursing Home and St.Claire Medical Center in Morehead is where Cozetta sent most of hers,” Jones reported. Rachel Fankell has made 200 masks with assistance from Sandy Stewart, and Carol Ann Fraley has also been turning out scores of masks.

Cozetta Bond has made 169
