Looking Back at 2020 – Local Protests Sparked Major Backlash in July and August: Photo Gallery Five (18 photos)

A series of local protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement attracted numerous counter-protesters who answered a “call to arms” in response to potentially threatening statements made by the initial organizer of the local protest.

The protests continued into August, but lost momentum following the arrest of the controversial organizer in Louisville (see story link below) and remaining participants adopted a less confrontational approach to the weekly events.
