The Carter County Extension Office has received 25 additional Senior Farmer’s Market Vouchers. Vouchers will be distributed at the Olive Hill Farmer’s Market (at the Save-a-Lot parking lot) on Wednesday, September 2nd starting at 9:00 AM. Seniors who have already received vouchers this summer are NOT eligible to receive additional vouchers. To qualify, participants must be at least 60 years of age and meet the income criteria which is less than or equal to 185% of the poverty level. For a household of one the annual income must be less than $23,606 and less than $31,894 for a household of two. Additional income guidelines are available online at https://www.kyagr.com/consumer/senior-farmer-market.html. Vouchers may be redeemed at approved Farmer’s Markets for fresh produce.
