Trace’s highlights of his senior year include playing football, a sport he hadn’t played since 6th grade. As a part of a memorable team he was a contributor on a district champion football team. As a starter on the basketball team he hit a 3-point field goal with 14 seconds left, as well as two free throws with three seconds remaining to help the Comets advance to the championship game against East, where West Carter became district champions for the first time since 1999. He was voted to the Eastern Kentucky Conference all EKC team by area coaches. Trace plans to attend Ashland Community Technical College and major in nursing.
